WEISS – GROUP SHOW AT ARTE GIANI / FRANKFURT

Weiß als Summe der Komplementärfarben und als Reflexion des Lichts ist in seiner Absolutheit das Einfache, Klare, das Wenige. Vor vier Jahren hat die Galerie mit der Ausstellung „Die Farbe Schwarz“ zeitgenössische künstlerische Positionen ausgestellt, deren Mal- und Stilmittel hauptsächlich von der Farbe Schwarz getragen wurden. In der Ausstellung geht es weniger um das Malmittel, als um die Annäherung an das Phänomen „Weiß“. Die Vielzahl der teilnehmenden Künstler steht für eine Fülle von möglichen Betrachtungen und Erscheinungen des Phänomens „Weiß“.

“Die Ausstellung terra incognita. Weltbilder – Welterfahrungen stellt Fragen nach Utopie und Wirklichkeit von Weltkonstruktionen, aber auch nach den Wegen und Strategien, wie wir uns ein Bild von der Welt machen, sie entdecken und diese Entdeckungen medial transportieren, wie wir uns in der Welt zurechtfinden, sie in Besitz nehmen und verändern.
Dabei faszinieren die großen Fragen nach Anfang und Ende ebenso, wie die Texturen, Materialitäten und Vorgänge im Mikro- und Makrokosmos.”

Tardor Art es la gran propuesta cultural del otoño en Cataluña. Es una iniciativa impulsada por el sector galerista catalán que pretende crear una programación cultural diseñada para acercar las galerías a la ciudadanía. Una muestra comuna y actividades paralelas inundan durante un mes las galerías catalanas para invitar a todos los amantes de la cultura a adentrarse en el mundo del arte. Es una iniciativa gratuita y abierta a todo el mundo.

Tardor Art celebra su 3ª edición del 29 de septiembre al 29 de octubre de 2011 y el proyecto de este año, ON-OFF, gira alrededor de un concepto: la luz. Cada una de las galerías e instituciones participantes exhibe durante un mes una sola obra de arte, encargada a uno de sus artistas y realizada bajo este concepto. Los artistas han de usar la luz como medio artístico para el desarrollo de sus proyectos.
En la muestra participan tanto artistas lumínicos como otros a que profundizan más intensamente en este concepto por primera vez. El conjunto final lo forman sorprendentes piezas de arte en forma de cuadros, esculturas, vídeos, fotografías, instalaciones, lo cual demuestra la imaginación, el potencial y el poder creativo de estos profesionales, ya sean nacionales o internacionales.

La luz es un elemento fundamental en la creación artística. En muchos casos la luz deja de ser un apoyo y se convierte en obra de arte. El componente, así, se convierte en objeto. En arte, la luz es el medio principal sin el cual la ficción no sería posible; en fotografía es el conductor; en arquitectura un elemento utilizado de forma teatral o funcional; y en pintura es el que permite la tridimensionalidad y las cualidades.

To mark the 20th anniversary of Abe, the Barcelona Association of Contemporary Art Galleries, this exhibition takes a look at the close relationship that exists between gallery owner and artist.　
Over and above business (absolutely necessary) and beyond the enhancing of personal or social profiles and success (desirable), these liaisons… are the product of intellectual links, of personal affinities, of the sharing of aesthetic stances or values that become essential for both parties to move forward. The exhibition includes works by the following artists: J. Alcaraz, E. Arroyo, J.R.Bas, M. Concepcion, Chancho, S. Finkenauer, P. Formiguera, J. Fulla, A. García-Alix, P. Gómez i M.J. González, I.
